An email claiming to provide a job opportunity with Aegis Capital Group LLC was received. It offers a nice compensation for only an hour work a day. This email appears to be a scam and may even involve money laundering. Aegis Capital Group LLC, the private equity firm, is almost certainly not involved nor likely to approve the use of its name in the e-mail. Scammers often use the names of real companies to make their claims seem legitimate. If you get an e-mail that is similar to one in our collection, you should ignore it. Do not contact anyone listed on the email and especially do not give out personal information. Never pay any fees of any kind. Do not cash any of their checks-they are almost certainly forged or stolen and even though they may initially clear your account, they will bounce several weeks later and you will be held responsible and could even face criminal charges.
