Alpha Bank, the Greek bank, and its London branch are almost certainly not involved nor likely to approve the use of its their names in the e-mails. Scammers often use the names of legitimate banks, companies, governmental agencies and other organizations to make their claims seem legitimate. If you get an e-mail that is similar to one in our collection, you should delete it. Do not contact the person and especially do not give out personal information such as bank account information or your social security number. NEVER pay any fees of any kind. If you are victimized by the fraud, there is not much that you can do. You may want to visit other sites to learn more.
