Exposing Internet Fraud & Scams |
Central Bank of Nigeria was referenced in several unsolicited emails that appear to be fraudulent or bogus. Central Bank of Nigeria is almost certainly not involved nor likely to approve the use of its name in the e-mails. Scammers often use the names of legitimate banks, companies, governmental agencies and other organizations to make their claims seem legitimate. This site contains a large collection of fraud and bogus emails that attempt to scam the recipient into sending money for non-existent fortunes, inheritances, cases of money, business partnerships, lottery winnings, etc. If you get an e-mail that is similar to one in our collection, you should delete it. Do not contact the person and especially do not give out personal information such as bank account information or your social security number. NEVER pay any fees of any kind. Also, do not accept a check from this stranger and especially do not return a portion of the check . If you are victimized by the fraud, there is not much that you can do. You may want to visit other sites to learn more.
