We received an email claiming to be from a publisher of Church of Christ in England. This email appears to be fraudulent or bogus. The Church of Christ is almost certainly not involved nor likely to approve the use of its name in the e-mails. Scammers often use the names of real organizations to make their claims seem legitimate. If you get an e-mail that is similar to one in our collection, you should ignore it. Do not contact anyone listed on the email (e.g. Richard Collins) and especially do not give out personal information. Never pay any fees of any kind. Do not cash any of their checks-they are almost certainly forged or stolen and even though they may initially clear your account, they will bounce several weeks later and you will be held responsible and could even face criminal charges.
