Republic Bank of Trinidad and Tobago (RBTT) was referenced in unsolicited emails that appear to be fraudulent or bogus.  Republic Bank of Trinidad and Tobago (RBTT) is almost certainly not involved nor likely to approve the use of its name in the e-mails.  Scammers often use the names of legitimate banks, companies and other organizations to make their claims seem legitimate.  This site contains a large collection of fraud and bogus emails.  If you get an e-mail that is similar to one in our collection, you should delete it.  Do not  respond and especially do not give out personal information such as bank account information or your social security number.  NEVER pay any fees of any kind.  If you are victimized by the fraud, there is not much that you can do.
