Scarlet Couriers, the delivery company, is almost certainly not involved nor likely to approve the use of its name in the e-mails. Scammers often use the names of legitimate banks, companies, governmental agencies and other organizations to make their claims seem legitimate. This site contains a large collection of fraud and bogus emails that attempt to scam the recipient into sending money for non-existent fortunes, inheritances, cases of money, business partnerships, lottery winnings, etc. Don't be fooled by official looking documents (e.g. phony governmental certificates, checks and passports) as scammers make a living forging these things.
