Important Security Notification

The email entitled "Important Security Notification" claiming to come from eBay Inc. appears to be a phishing scam. Phishing scams often use "official" looking webpages to trick you into believing they are from a legitimate website. Typically an email states or implies that your account will be suspended or deactivated unless you click the link to the webpage that is linked from the e-mail. Sometimes they say that someone is trying to use your account or this is done for "security" purposes. Once you are at the site, they will ask for personal information. You may be asked to provide or verify personal information such as bank account information, credit card information, social security information and password information. If you get such an e-mail, you should delete it and do not provide any of the requested information. However, if you are still not convinced that you have a fraudulent e-mail, please contact the company directly and explain the e-mail you received.

eBay sent this message on behalf of an eBay member services. Responses sent using email will go to the eBay member services directly and will include your email address. Click the Respond To This Notification button below to send your response via E-Mail (your email address will not be included).

During our regular update and verification of the accounts, we could not verify your current information.Either your information has changed or it is incomplete.

As a result, your access to bid or buy on eBay has been restricted. To start using fully your eBay account, please update and verify your information by responding this notification.

If you do not respond by Jan-27-2006 your account may be suspended for security reasons.

Note: If this is the second time you receiving this notice, it might be because you have made a mistake when you entered your details or the account was not updated.
